Aftercare: Massage

Within the first 24–48 hours:

  • Drink plenty of water to support circulation and recovery

  • Avoid heavy meals for the first 6 hours

  • Avoid alcohol and other substances for 24 hours

  • Avoid heavy exercise for 24 hours

  • If you are new to massage, avoid significant sports or high‑intensity activity for 48 hours

  • Avoid cold showers or ice baths for 24 hours, as they can counteract the therapeutic effects

If you experience soreness:

  • Use contrast bathing on the area:

    • 60 seconds cold

    • 30 seconds hot

    • Repeat as needed to reduce tension and support circulation

What to expect:

  • You may feel sleepy, deeply relaxed, or experience heavier sleep than usual
